Earthworks and foundations

Geosynthetics provide economic and future-oriented solutions in earthworks and foundations. The general shortage of building land and the need to protect the environment mean more use has to be made of ‘difficult’ sites for building purposes. This gives rise to a continuously increasing demand for the industry to construct more earthworks on less capable soils. Against this background the use of HUESKER geosynthetics can be advantageous.

Function

(Kopie 1)

Works such as embankments on weak soils, extra-steep slopes, slope stabilization, retaining walls can be constructed safely, cost-effectively and to the benefit of the environment using geosynthetics. The use of geosynthetics also results in: reduced quantities of transported materials and better value for money, as removal or replacement of soils is not required and construction times are reduced.
