Valuable green fodder stored in outdoor fermentation silos has
only a thin layer of surrounding film. Tears and holes occur in
the film allowing air to enter and spoilage to take place with
resulting loss of considerable quantities of fodder.
Older methods of covering silos with car tyres or a layer of
sand etc. involve a lot of work and do not guarantee lasting
protection of the thin film.
You can avoid these disadvantages by using our protection mesh.
Original-AGRITEC® (designed for use in particularly demanding situations)
and HaTe® protection meshes are the reliable, lasting and effective
means of preventing consequent serious damage caused by:
 |
pecking crows, pheasants |
 |
scratching game and roaming livestock |
 |
hail, wind, storms and other weather effects |
Original-AGRITEC® and HaTe® protection meshes are made of highly
tear resistant, small-aperture, synthetic woven mesh. The materials
used ensure optimum UV protection and a long life.
The grid structure of the woven permits rain and condensation to
flow through freely, breaks the wind and prevents the silo film
beneath it from flapping.
The protection mesh is completely resistant to rot, attack by
fungus, chemicals or acids.
Loops woven into the mesh allow sandbags to be attached for ballast
so that the previous normal practice of covering with sand or tyres
is not necessary.
