Many riding enthusiasts would like their own riding arenas.
Increasing costs of construction materials, labour and
transport mean that they have to be careful in their choice
of materials. To keep costs down they may wish to do the
work themselves.
The construction of a riding arena needs to be well thought
out. There are too many examples where, after enough time,
complete failure has occurred due to the riding surface
mixing with the layer beneath. Many ways have been tried to
prevent this from happening. The disadvantages of these products
are their high price, the considerable work involved in
incorporating these materials or, as in the case of non-wovens
in this context, their limited functionality. What is needed are
simple and reliable separation layers that permit riding arenas
to be used all year round.
It is important that they allow rainwater to pass freely and
quickly through them, whilst doing this however, they should
preserve the structure and therefore the functionality of the riding
surface and the foundation layer for as long as possible. To achieve
this, the two layers must be effectively separated from one another.
For many years now, new forms of textiles have been successfully
produced to deal with this specific constructional problem. HUESKER
has also developed a number of special products known to construction
professionals as filter fabrics.
These filter fabrics have been further improved using the knowledge
and experience of HUESKER engineers under the brand name of
Original-VIATRIFT® separation layer. Currently we supply two different
Original-VIATRIFT® separation layers.
