Geosynthetics are an indispensable part of these lining and sealing systems. They protect the mineral seal from the underlying soils and the geomembrane liner from damage. They are also used as a filter between the waste and the drainage layer and for reinforcing the surface capping material and steep slopes.

Geosynthetic composites with a high drainage capability can replace sand or aggregate drainage layers. Geosynthetic clay liners are used for reliable containment of the high swelling bentonite. Drainage composites can also be supplied for complete multi-layer system solutions.
